Who We Are

Agape Bici is a registered non-profit “associazione sportiva dilettantistica” in Italy, an amateur sports association made up of a group of Christian bicycling enthusiasts. We work to promote cycling activities amongst the underserved communities of Catania, including immigrants, refugees, and the poor of our community, helping them to integrate into our community through the activity of cycling. In this way, our goal is to build a community of people in our city through the use of bicycles and the activity of cycling for physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness.

Agape Bici offers bicycle rides both within and outside of the city of Catania. Our desire is to cycle together and allow those who have not had access to the beauty of Mt. Etna and the rest of Sicily the opportunity to appreciate this land from the perspective that a bicycle offers.

We also rent bicycles and offer other social and spiritual benefits to our association’s members through the various cycling activities.

Finally, we also receive donated bicycles, fix them, and give them away for free to those who are in need. We fix bicycles for a donation to help cover labor and parts, teach courses to learn how to fix a bicycle, and employ people from the underserved communities mentioned above to work along with us.

Please contact us and come to get involved! Whether you consider yourself to be an expert cyclist or a beginner, whether you are an expert bicycle mechanic or a complete novice, there is a place for you within our community, and a place for you to reach out and serve our community!
